Services

I tailor my services to suit my clients. Here are some of our options, and please feel free to ask me about other ideas you might have. The following fees are per home, whether there’s one or two or more cats there.

Once-Daily Visits
I’ve found that around 45 minutes feels like the right length of time for a visit. It allows me time to calmly serve meals and fresh water, clean litter, and for us to have quality time together. With one visit per day, most cats seem satisfied.

My fee per visit to Ascot Vale, Essendon, Flemington, Moonee Ponds or Travancore is $50. I can also go further afield to neighbouring suburbs by adding a small surcharge for extra travel costs and time.

Twice-Daily Visits
Some of my clients like me to visit twice a day. This can be particularly important if medication needs to be administered twice-daily or breakfast and dinner need to be served separately. My fee for twice-daily visits is $45 per visit.

Overnight Stays
For even greater comfort, I’m available for sleepovers. This provides the benefits of split breakfast and dinner visits plus a whole evening for pats, lap sits, playing, and getting under the blankets in the wee small hours. This service would be especially good for cats who get anxious and yowl during the night – I will always get up to reassure them. My fee for overnight stays is $70 per night.

Consultations:
Over the past few decades, a wealth of knowledge has been gathered about cat health, behaviour and psychology. Products have also been developed to make cat care easier and more thorough.

I can advise on how to optimise your individual home and routines. For example:
– Where to place beds, food bowls, water vessels and litter
– The healthiest types of bowls or fountains
– The most pleasant and convenient types of litter and trays
– Habits for long-term health
– Furniture, temperature and food adjustments for senior cats
– Entertainment and play for sensory stimulation and exercise
– Ways to help anxious cats feel more at ease
– Suggestions for addressing specific behavioural issues

My fee for a 1-hour consultation in your home is $90. We can chat first via email or over the phone to identify your main goals, at no charge.

For ongoing cat-sitting clients, I’m happy to provide advice as individual questions arise at no charge.

Daily Updates:
As part of each service, I’ll send a daily written update detailing how we’ve spent our time together. I can send photos via text or email, and videos using Whatsapp.

Medications:
I have experience administering insulin injections, pills and liquid medications, and can do this at no extra cost.

Home Maintenance:
I’m happy to bring in mail, water indoor and outdoor plants, open and close blinds, let in fresh air, run air conditioners and heaters, move bins, etc. as part of my visit.

Cancellations and Public Holidays:
I don’t charge cancellation fees, whether you need to cancel entirely or just adjust your dates. I don’t charge extra for public holidays or peak periods either. GST is not applicable.

Please Note: I recommend that I visit at least once per day
I’ve seen automatic feeders and fountains run out of batteries, become unplugged, and even be broken by interfering paws. I would not want a client to be without food or water for more than 24 hours.

I’ve also seen litter trays become too soiled for a cat to continue to comfortably use them. Apart from the inconvenience to the human if the cat decides to relieve themself on some other absorbent surface, like a doona, this situation is stressful for cats. Cats are very fastidious when it comes to cleanliness and like their litter to be freshened every day.

Most importantly, I also know from experience how fast life-threatening illnesses in cats can escalate, which is why it’s essential to check on them every day. A 48-hour gap is just too big a risk to take with your furry family.
