Values

My name is Annie McKee. Cat Nanny Annie is my own business, my profession and my calling. Here are the values and benefits that I bring to my services:

Trust
I feel very honoured to be a cat nanny – Both to be entrusted by humans with their loved ones and to be accepted by cats as we get to know each other. My services are all about helping my feline and human clients feel secure.

Respect
I respect that each cat should choose how affectionate or reserved they would like our interaction to be. I have a knack of putting timid or defensive cats at ease by observing subtle forms of feline etiquette and by bringing calming energy. For more readily affectionate or playful personalities, I put myself through my paces to entertain!

Connection
It will surprise some humans to know that the first thing my furry clients seek when I arrive is always connection. Much more than food, they want to say hello. They want to exchange sniffs and slow blinks. They want the company of a fellow sentient being.

Personalisation
During our obligation-free meeting, I’ll take the time to find out about personal preferences. As examples: Sundae likes to sniff around in her garage of an evening. Chloe likes squashy pats as she drags herself along the carpet. Apache likes to drink from his bath tap. Sweetpea likes to drink from her hand basin. Pudgie likes to be brushed with her sticky lint roller. Maintaining these routines makes for a more comfortable and reassuring time.

Experience
I started as a cat nanny in 2015, through an online pet-sitting platform. Receiving great reviews, I caught the attention of the owner of an independent cat-sitting business, who then booked me for some of her clients. I’ve been running Cat Nanny Annie since early 2018, using my experience and empathy to provide an excellent level of service. In 2025, cat sitting has become my full-time focus.

Knowledge
Engaging with so many cats over the years, I’ve learned some very helpful insights into cat behaviours. If there’s something curious or irksome going on in your home, I might be able to shed some light. I can also assist with useful tips on water, food and litter distancing, the best vessels and products for each, healthy habits, and the specific care of senior cats. If you have a question, feel free to ask me!
